Oracle Prepare Shut Down TikTok Servers Ban in US.
January 19, 2025—Santa Clara Some staff members have been told by leaders at Oracle, the main cloud computing provider for TikTok’s U.S. data, to get prepared for the shutdown of servers holding TikTok data in the United States. According to a report by The Information, the rule is expected to go into effect as early as 9 p.m. ET on Saturday (0200 GMT on Sunday).
Due to national security concerns, the shutdown is in preparation for a new U.S. law that will effectively ban the popular social media app when it takes effect on Sunday.
